Aico EI413 RadioLINK Panel Interface Module

The Ei413 is a RadioLINK Panel Interface Module that provides an interface between RadioLINK alarms and accessories and fire alarm/security alarm panels.

  • Creates a two-way communication between Aico alarms and a panel system
  • Connects wirelessly with all other Aico wireless interconnection products and is hard wired into the Panel system
  • Powered directly from the Panel system
Power Source

The module is powered either directly from the Panel System or from an external source.

Panel Activation

The module will decode a ‘Fire’, ‘Carbon Monoxide’ and fault signals from RadioLINK devices and activate the Panel accordingly and will also work the other way, activating the domestic alarms if it receives a signal from the Panel.

Operation of the Ei413

On receiving a volt-free switched hardwired signal from the panel, the module will transmit a RadioLINK alarm signal to activate the alarms in the system.
If a fire alarm has activated, the module will recognise the signal as a fire, and switch the relevant contacts to activate the panel.
If a Carbon Monoxide alarm has activated, the module will recognise the signal as a Carbon Monoxide leak and switch the relevant contacts to activate the panel.

Technical Specifications

  • Eliminate the need for any cabling between the Ei413 and the smoke/heat/CO alarms used in the system.
  • The Ei413 is conformant to EN300220-1 (RF Performance) in accordance with EN300220-2 and EN301489-1 (EMC) referencing EN301489-3.
  • The unit is powered from the alarm panel and requires 11 to 30VDC. Unit current rating: 15mA (Standby), 60mA (Alarm Max).
The unit has three sets (Normally Open, Normally Closed and Common) of built-in wiring contacts for connection to the panel (rated at 30V @1 Amp). On the contacts closing, the unit will (dependent on which set of contacts are connected) indicate a fire, CO leak or fault to the panel. The unit also has a Normally Open volt-free set of contacts to link from the panel to it, so if the panel is activated, the unit will transmit a RadioLINK signal to the alarms in the system to activate them (they will sound).
  • Radio frequency: 868MHz band in accordance with R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC – this band has been designed for use with security products and only allows a 1% duty cycle, so continuous transmission and interference from external sources is extremely remote and would be illegal.
  • Up to 12 RadioLINK units can be used in one system. Range may be a limiting factor.
  • RF Range: The type of building will be the major limiting factor e.g., the number and type of walls/ceilings that the radio signal has to pass through. As a guide, 30m should be the maximum distance between any of the RadioLINK units in the system.
  • Units are in ‘factory code’ when received (they will communicate with each other). They must be ‘House Coded’ to eliminate the risk of adjacent properties communicating with each other. After ‘House Coding’ they will only communicate with other RadioLINK units coded at the same time.
  • House Code: Operate the ‘House Code’ Switch on all RadioLINK units in the system – see the instructions supplied with the other RadioLINK units being used. The LED indicator on the front cover of the Ei413 will flash blue slowly, this indicates that it is transmitting its unique serial number to all other RadioLINK units in ‘House Code’. After a short time the unit will flash to indicate the number of units in the system (2 flashes = 2 units, 3 flashes = 3 units etc.). The Ei413 will return to normal standby mode automatically after 15 minutes. Pressing the ‘House Code’ Switch again will return it to normal standby immediately.
  • Designed for surface mounting or can be fitted into certain alarm panels provided the casing is not a metallic construction which may restrict RF signals.
  • Dimensions: 88mm x 88mm x 28mm.
  • Weight: 150g.
  • Ambient Temperature Range: 0°C to 40°C.
  • 5-year guarantee.
  • Manufactured in Ireland.

UK Delivery:

Orders over £75 - FREE DELIVERY*

Orders under £75 - Delivery £4.95 including VAT

*A very small number of large heavy items may attract an additional pallet charge to certain areas. This charge is calculated based on the overall order value and the delivery postcode area. For example, large oil-filled heaters such as the 'Rointe Radiator Range' cannot be safely transported via standard courier services. Depending on your area, there will usually be a carriage paid order value threshold where FREE delivery can still be attained.

Overseas Customers:

Please feel free to contact us for a price if you would like delivery outside of the UK.

Same Day Despatch On In-Stock Items:

We despatch in-stock items on the same working day when they are ordered before 2PM GMT. You can always contact us after this time to see if it is still possible - we are keen to help where we can. If you need a timed delivery service (Before Noon, 10am, 9am and Saturdays etc) - then please contact us directly for a price.

"Fastlec- They really mean fast, press the enter key on your computer and the doorbell rings.

I have used Fastlec three times each time I have found them to be efficient fast and happy to give you information on their products."

If You Have A Deadline:

Out of stock items will show a 'usual' delivery time on the product page, we will notify you if they are likely to take any longer than this. If you have a deadline then please feel free to contact us by email, phone or fax - we can usually meet it!

Fast and Secure:

Most in-stock items are despatched via traceable and insured carriers on a next-day service.

Domestic Addresses: Our carriers deliver between 7.30am and 6.00pm. If you are not in when the carrier arrives, they will leave a card with instructions on how to arrange re-delivery or collection from your local depot.

Business Addresses: Our carrier will attempt delivery on a working day during normal business hours. If there is no-one to sign for the delivery, a card will be left and the parcel taken to the local depot for collection within one week.

Received Damaged:

Any items being returned as damaged in transit, requiring replacement or refund, should be notified to us, either verbally or in writing, within 24 hours of delivery and must be accompanied by clear photographs showing both the packaging - particularly any damage to the packaging - and also the damaged item(s). The correct paperwork can then be sent and these photographs will ensure that replacements or refunds can then be processed with a minimum of delay.

Storage Heater Deliveries:

Even when purchasing a single heater, it will be delivered on a pallet in an attempt to ensure no damage is caused during transit due to the weight of the unit and also the weight of the bricks to be fitted into the unit on installation. Multiple heaters may even mean multiple pallets. The nature and weight of these items mean a truck fitted with a tail lift is usually required and deliveries can, on occasion, be held up waiting for the availability of specialist transport although this is unusual.

Today's couriers, due to stringent Health and Safety restrictions, who are employed to deliver your storage heater, are contracted to deliver to the external front of your property only and are not contracted to maneuver these heavy items into your house or to their final locations. The item will be delivered to the door of the outer building if access allows (low-level pump trucks are used to move the pallet, therefore, any steps on the way will make this difficult and will probably mean delivery to the bottom of the steps only).
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate manpower (2 people recommended) to transport your new heater(s) and bricks from the delivery point to its final location without injury or damage to yourself, your new heater, or your property.

These considerations have been carefully designed to implement safe shipping and handling practices that will ensure safe and intact delivery of your heater and safe working practices for the delivery personnel.

In some cases, we may offer a partial refund to cover the remaining part of any existing warranty rather than a replacement.
