**Please choose a product suitable for either 'Tiles' or 'Slate'**

Why should you choose this Verplas Roof Ventilator over the other offerings in the market?

  • Suitable for roof space installation and complies fully with relevant Building Regulations and British Standards.

Features

  • Large free area of 20,000mm2 for high-flow system performance
  • Low profile design makes it unobtrusive on the roof line

A Guide to Selecting the Right Roof Tile Vent Adaptor

Get The Right Vent For Tile or Slate

Installing an extraction fan in your home is important to maintain the proper air flow and reduce moisture. But getting the right kind of roof tile vent adaptor is key to ensure that the installation is done properly and safely. This guide will show you how to choose the right one for your extractor fan.

Understand the Difference Between Different Types of Roof Tile Adaptors

When selecting a roof tile vent adaptor for your extractor fan, it’s important to understand the differences between the various types. The most common types are butterfly and circular vents, made from either plastic or metal. Butterfly vents have a flat lid with two wings and fit over existing standard-sized tiles. Circular vents are cut into the tile itself and fit a range of tile sizes. Knowing which type of vent will work best for your needs is essential so you get a secure, leak-free installation.

Consider Your Existing Roof Types and Installation Options

When selecting an adaptor for your roof extraction fan, it’s important to consider the type and style of your existing roof tiles. For example, butterfly vents are suitable for standard-sized tiles, while circular vents can work with a range of tile sizes. It may also be necessary to cut into the existing tiles in order to fit a circular vent. Additionally, plastic and metal versions of each type are available, so this is another factor to bear in mind when making your selection.

Ensure You Choose the Right Vent Diameter for Your Existing Fans' Needs

When selecting a roof tile vent adaptor, it is essential to check the diameter of your existing fans. This will ensure that the adaptor you choose is the correct size for maximum extraction efficiency. You should also take into account any additional requirements such as waterproofing and soundproofing, especially if installing an extract fan in a bathroom or kitchen area.

Check Regulations for Your Area and Type of Home

Before making any purchase it is important to check what regulations apply in your area. Most countries require that extraction fans be installed in newly built (or renovated) properties. It is also important to check the type of home you have, as this will determine the suitability and installation process for certain models of adaptors. Regulations may also govern the size, performance levels, and power consumption of an extract fan. Be sure to do your research beforehand so that you choose the right fit for your home.

Choose a Quality Adaptor That's Built to Last

When choosing a roof tile vent adaptor, it’s important to select one that is of high quality and will last the test of time. Look for an adaptor that has corrosion-resistant construction, made from highly durable plastic. Some models may also come with advanced features like integrated rain shields to keep your fan running smoothly even in wet weather conditions. Quality roof tile vent adaptors are designed to remain durable regardless of weathering elements and should also be easy to install and maintain.

UK Delivery:

Orders over £75 - FREE DELIVERY*

Orders under £75 - Delivery £4.95 including VAT

*A very small number of large heavy items may attract an additional pallet charge to certain areas. This charge is calculated based on the overall order value and the delivery postcode area. For example, large oil-filled heaters such as the 'Rointe Radiator Range' cannot be safely transported via standard courier services. Depending on your area, there will usually be a carriage paid order value threshold where FREE delivery can still be attained.

Overseas Customers:

Please feel free to contact us for a price if you would like delivery outside of the UK.

Same Day Despatch On In-Stock Items:

We despatch in-stock items on the same working day when they are ordered before 2PM GMT. You can always contact us after this time to see if it is still possible - we are keen to help where we can. If you need a timed delivery service (Before Noon, 10am, 9am and Saturdays etc) - then please contact us directly for a price.

"Fastlec- They really mean fast, press the enter key on your computer and the doorbell rings.

I have used Fastlec three times each time I have found them to be efficient fast and happy to give you information on their products."

If You Have A Deadline:

Out of stock items will show a 'usual' delivery time on the product page, we will notify you if they are likely to take any longer than this. If you have a deadline then please feel free to contact us by email, phone or fax - we can usually meet it!

Fast and Secure:

Most in-stock items are despatched via traceable and insured carriers on a next-day service.

Domestic Addresses: Our carriers deliver between 7.30am and 6.00pm. If you are not in when the carrier arrives, they will leave a card with instructions on how to arrange re-delivery or collection from your local depot.

Business Addresses: Our carrier will attempt delivery on a working day during normal business hours. If there is no-one to sign for the delivery, a card will be left and the parcel taken to the local depot for collection within one week.

Received Damaged:

Any items being returned as damaged in transit, requiring replacement or refund, should be notified to us, either verbally or in writing, within 24 hours of delivery and must be accompanied by clear photographs showing both the packaging - particularly any damage to the packaging - and also the damaged item(s). The correct paperwork can then be sent and these photographs will ensure that replacements or refunds can then be processed with a minimum of delay.

Storage Heater Deliveries:

Even when purchasing a single heater, it will be delivered on a pallet in an attempt to ensure no damage is caused during transit due to the weight of the unit and also the weight of the bricks to be fitted into the unit on installation. Multiple heaters may even mean multiple pallets. The nature and weight of these items mean a truck fitted with a tail lift is usually required and deliveries can, on occasion, be held up waiting for the availability of specialist transport although this is unusual.

Today's couriers, due to stringent Health and Safety restrictions, who are employed to deliver your storage heater, are contracted to deliver to the external front of your property only and are not contracted to maneuver these heavy items into your house or to their final locations. The item will be delivered to the door of the outer building if access allows (low-level pump trucks are used to move the pallet, therefore, any steps on the way will make this difficult and will probably mean delivery to the bottom of the steps only).
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate manpower (2 people recommended) to transport your new heater(s) and bricks from the delivery point to its final location without injury or damage to yourself, your new heater, or your property.

These considerations have been carefully designed to implement safe shipping and handling practices that will ensure safe and intact delivery of your heater and safe working practices for the delivery personnel.

This will ensure that the adaptor you choose is the correct size for maximum extraction efficiency. You should also take into account any additional requirements such as waterproofing and soundproofing, especially if installing an extract fan in a bathroom or kitchen area.

Before making any purchase it is important to check what regulations apply in your area. Most countries require that extraction fans be installed in newly built (or renovated) properties. Some models may also come with advanced features like integrated rain shields to keep your fan running smoothly even in wet weather conditions. Quality roof tile vent adaptors are designed to remain durable regardless of weathering elements and should also be easy to install and maintain.
