Aico Ei208w Carbon Monoxide Alarm With Lithium Battery

A sealed-in Lithium battery powers the Ei208W alarm ensuring a high performance and proven electrochemical sensor to sensor CO presence.

During assembly, each sensor is individually calibrated and tested to ensure accuracy.
The unit is easily secured to ceiling or wall by way of a twist-on mounting base with multiple fixing points.
The last CO level sensed is recorded using the memory feature making it possible to check if CO has been present during any absences from the property.
The unit has a Test/Hush button which is easy to use and allows all aspects of the unit to be constantly checked.
An end or life indicator notifies the user when the alarm has reached the end of its six-year life.

Operation

An alarm will sound and a red light will flash whenever dangerous levels of CO are detected.
When the unit needs replacing an amber light will flash twice every fifty seconds.
If a fault in the sensor is detected the alarm will beep and the amber fault light will flash twice every 50 seconds.
Alarms can be silenced by exerting a brief 'push' on the Test/Hush button or the unit can be programmed to run a self-test if the Test/Hush button is pressed and held.  Please note that if a CO level of 150ppm or above is detected the alarm cannot be silenced.

Technical Specification

The CO alarm carries the BSI Kitemark to indicate type testing to BS EN 50291:2001.
It is CE marked to indicate conformance to BS EN 60335-1:1994, BS EN 50270:1999 Safety and Electromagnetic Compatibility Directives.
New generation electrochemical cell type Carbon Monoxide sensor checks CO concentration every four seconds.
Each unit is calibrated and tested in CO gas in order to ensure accuracy.
Battery powered by a sealed-in Lithium battery that will power the unit for its entire 6-year life.
The amber fault light will flash twice every fifty seconds to indicate the unit needs replacing.
Start up sequence - the red, amber and green LEDs will flash once.
Rapid warm up time - once this very short sequence has elapsed the alarm is fully operational.

Low and high CO level indicators are as follows:

CO Level Red Light Alarm
43ppm Off Off
44-80ppm 1 flash every 2 seconds Sounds after 60-90 minutes
81-150ppm 1 flash every second Sounds after 10-40 minutes
>150ppm 2 flashes every second Sounds within 2 minutes

Fault indicator - amber LED flashes twice and the alarm beeps every 60 seconds if a fault is detected.

Manual Test/Hush button - press and hold the button to test circuitry, sensor and sounder.  LEDs will flash as below:

Normal mode       -        Green LED flash with normal alarm sound
Fault condition   -   Amber LED flash.  Alarm will not sound
End of life   -   Amber LED flash with normal alarm sound

Pressing and releasing the Test/Hush button when the unit is sensing CO will silence the alarm for four minutes.  It will only silence once until the gas has cleared.

At CO levels of 150ppm and above the unit cannot be silenced due to the increased danger.

Memory feature which records the last CO level sensed.  If the unit has been in alarm and then ceased, the red LED will continue to flash for a 24-hour period to indicate the level of CO sensed.  Pressing the test button will show the last CO level sensed, via the rate of flash of the red LED as detailed below.

For 24 hours after the alarm has ceased When the test button is pressed
CO Level Sensed Red Light CO Level Sensed Red Light
43-80ppm 2 flashes every 50 seconds 43-80ppm 1 flash every 2 seconds
80-150ppm 4 flashes every 50 seconds 80-150ppm 1 flash every second
>150ppm 8 flashes every 50 seconds >150ppm 2 flashes every second

Built-in sounder to give a minimum output of 85dB(A) at 3 metres.
Modulated sound output - 3 rapid pulses followed by a 1.5-second pause, repeated until reset.  This easily differentiates it from a typical smoke alarm.
Automatic reset of alarm test function and after an alarm state when CO gas clears.
Supplied with an integral mounting base and fixing screws.  The mounting base has multiple fixing holes and the alarm is suitable for ceiling or wall mounting

Delivery

UK Delivery:

Orders over £49.99 - FREE DELIVERY*

Orders under £50 - Delivery £4.95 including VAT

On certain stocked, low weight items you may be offered a low weight economy post option at checkout.

*A very small number of large heavy items may attract an additional pallet charge to certain areas. This charge is calculated based on the overall order value and the delivery postcode area. For example, large oil-filled heaters such as the 'Rointe Radiator Range' cannot be safely transported via standard courier services. Depending on your area, there will usually be a carriage paid order value threshold where FREE delivery can still be attained.

Overseas Customers:

We offer flat rate shipping costs to many countries. You can check your rate by adding any items to your shopping cart, then view the cart and then select your country from the drop down menu and click update. Most EC countries are now included. Please feel free to contact us if you would prefer a manual quote.

"Fantastic to see a company who don't charge extortionate surcharges to northern Ireland. Makes a huge difference. Thanks very much!"

Same Day Despatch On In-Stock Items:

We despatch in-stock items on the same working day when they are ordered before Noon GMT. You can always contact us after this time to see if it is still possible - we are keen to help where we can. If you need a timed delivery service (Before Noon, 10am, 9am and Saturdays etc) - then please contact us directly for a price.

"Fastlec- They really mean fast, press the enter key on your computer and the doorbell rings.

I have used Fastlec three times each time I have found them to be efficient fast and happy to give you information on their products."

If You Have A Deadline:

Out of stock items can take up to 3-5 working days to deliver, we will notify you if they are likely to take any longer than this. If you have a deadline then please feel free to contact us by email, phone or fax - we can usually meet it!

Fast and Secure:

Most in stock items are despatched via traceable and insured carriers on a next day service. Some smaller items may be despatched via 1st class post (We limit this during times of Royal Mail industrial action).

Domestic Addresses:

Our carriers deliver between 7.30am and 6.00pm. If you are not in when the carrier arrives, they will leave a card with instructions on how to arrange re-delivery or collection from your local depot.

Business Addresses:

Our carrier will attempt delivery on a working day during normal business hours. If there is no-one to sign for the delivery, a card will be left and the parcel taken to the local depot for collection within one week. Further re-deliveries to business addresses may attract a re-delivery charge.

Received Damaged:

Any items being returned as damaged in transit, requiring replacement or refund, should notified to us, either verbally or in writing, within 24 hours of delivery and must be accompanied by clear photographs showing both the packaging - particularly any damage to the packaging - and also the damaged item(s). The correct paperwork can then be sent and these photographs will ensure that replacements or refunds can then be processed with a minimum of delay.

Storage Heater Deliveries:

Even when purchasing a single heater, it will be delivered on a pallet in an attempt to ensure no damage is caused during transit due to the weight of the unit and also the weight of the bricks to be fitted into the unit on installation. Multiple heaters may even mean multiple pallets. The nature and weight of these items means a truck fitted with a tail lift is usually required and deliveries can, on occasion, be held up waiting the availability of specialist transport although this is unusual..

Today's couriers, due to stringent Health and Safety restrictions, who are employed to deliver your storage heater, are contracted to deliver to the external front of your property only, and are not contracted to manoeuvre these heavy items into your house or to their final locations. The item will be delivered to the door of the outer building if access allows (low-level pump trucks are used to move the pallet, therefore, any steps on the way will make this difficult and will probably mean delivery to the bottom of the steps only). It is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate manpower (2 people recommended) to transport your new heater(s) and bricks from the delivery point to its final location without injury or damage to yourself, your new heater or your property.

These considerations, have been carefully designed to implement safe shipping and handling practices which will ensure a safe and intact delivery of your heater and safe working practices for the delivery personnel.

Collect Your Storage Heaters:

If you would prefer to collect your new storage heater yourself we have several locations nationwide from where you may collect your new storage heater at a time that suits you. 4. Faulty Unit

We understand that when this situation arises it can be a great inconvenience, so after checking with the manufacturer's technical helpline (Most suspected faults can be sorted out over the phone as they result from wiring or setup issues - which is a good thing as it saves you sending the unit back in the first place) we offer the following two options:

  • a) We can supply a pre-paid postage label* for you to return the unit to us and we will dispatch a replacement upon receipt.
