Domus Universal Duct provides a professional solution to overcome awkward installations on site. This helps meets the good practice guide in Approved Document F of the Building Regulations especially with regards to overcoming some of the problems when using flexible hose.
Launched as a result of feedback received from installers, the Universal Duct provides an adaptable, easy to install and robust solution for short offsets that commonly cause problems on both new build and refurbishment developments. It provides a more professional finish than flexible hose and also offers improved airflow characteristics. It is also suited to the rigours often incurred on site. Universal Duct is supplied is in 300mm lengths and is simply adjustable by hand between 0-45° in either a vertical or horizontal plane.
Universal Duct also offers enhanced acoustic properties over existing solutions, having been specially manufactured in Santoprene, which has sound deadening characteristics. This helps with isolating fan noise from duct systems and reducing noise transfer, when a duct passes through a separating wall.
The Universal Duct is suitable for use with the Domus 204 x 60mm Supertube 125 ducting system that is commonly used in both the ventilation of cooker hoods and other common ventilation requirements in housing and apartments.
